2013/14 HRC Internal Fellowship applications now open

Call for Applications

The Humanities Research Centre is inviting applications for two Internal fellowships.

  • These will be offered to teaching staff in any of the humanities disciplines in the Research School of Humanities and the Arts (RSHA).

  • The grant is to be used as teaching relief for a semester – either in semester two (July – December 2013) or semester one (January - June) in 2014 - in order to complete a manuscript or to develop an ARC application for submission in the annual round.
  • Preference will be given to those who have a book contract from a publisher or at least written evidence of interest from a publisher; or those who have a project proposal in an advanced stage and ready to be submitted as an ARC application.
  • Special consideration will be given to early career researchers (7 to 8 years since completion of PhD).
  • Staff on OSP or current ARC grants are not eligible.
  • Fellows will be based at HRC for the duration of their fellowship. Time away should preferably not exceed two weeks during the entire fellowship.
  • Applicants need to submit their CVs and a two page proposal of the work they'll undertake during the semester.
  • Applicants need to have an endorsement from their supervisors.
